149 Artists Assessed In International Cartoon Competition

The Jury Members of the 13th International Cartoon Competition 2024 have completed their work of assessing 149 artists from 40 countries contributing 543 works.

Under the honorary presidency of Girne Mayor, Murat Şenkul, the International Selection Committee Members, consisting of M. Serhan Gazioğlu (Cyprus), Kemal Özyurt (Turkey), Elif Atamaz (Cyprus), Olena Tsuranova (Ukraine), Fahriye Çıtaklı (Turkey), Musa Kayra (Cyprus), Zafer Tutkulu (Cyprus), Sergii Riabokon (Ukraine), and Hüseyin Çakmak (Cyprus), gathered at the Girne Municipality Art Gallery from July 1 to July 4, 2024, to evaluate the entries submitted to the 13th International Cartoon Competition. They have now completed their deliberations.

The International Jury Members voted to select a total of 46 works as “Candidate for Award” in the categories of ‘Olive’ and ‘Open’. The works selected as “Candidate for Award” will be displayed for a period to determine if they are original pieces or copies. Final results will be announced within 10 days.
