Girne Mayor, Murat Şenkul, made an announcement regarding the multi-storey parking projects initiated to address the parking problem in Girne centre and Kervansaray areas.
Mayor Şenkul stated that the multi-storey parking projects are ongoing, and currently, 3 multi-storey parking lots with a total capacity of over 1200 vehicles will be constructed in the areas of Yeni Liman, Açık Pazar, and Kervansaray.
Mayor Şenkul also said that they have started work for an underground parking lot for approximately 110 vehicles in Girne Bazaar. He emphasized that two of these projects will be funded with local resources, while the other two will be implemented through public-private partnerships, demonstrating their commitment to solving Girne’s parking problem.
Mayor Murat Şenkul stated, “We will solve the problems of our city one by one,” expressing that efforts will continue for Girne to become a liveable city, and solutions will be produced to meet the needs of the community.”
