Larnaka Martyrs commemorated with a ceremony

Turkish Cypriot fighters who fell during the struggle for existence in the Larnaka district between 1963 and 1974 were commemorated with a ceremony at the Larnaka.

Speaking at the Larnaca Martyrs Commemoration Ceremony within the framework of the 21-25 December National Struggle and Martyrs Week, President Tatar stressed that an agreement based on sovereign equality is a red line for the continuation of peace and tranquility in Cyprus.

Stating that the guarantorship of the Republic of Türkiye and the presence of the Turkish military on the island are indispensable for Turkish Cypriots, the President emphasised that if we live in peace in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, it is thanks to the martyrs.
