Explanation of HPV Vaccines given in TRNC schools

“There is no problem in the application of vaccines in our national vaccination program”

As the Primary Health Services Department, vaccination services are performed within the framework of the National Vaccination Program, which is the basic practice of preventive health services in all primary health care centres throughout the island and there are no problems.

In addition, our department organises a vaccination campaign in all primary school 1st and 5th grades every year, and MMR vaccine (Measles Rubella Mumps) and quadruple mixed vaccines (Diphtheria, Tetanus, Acellular Pertussis IPV) are given to 1st grade students. The fifth grade students are given the missing MMR and DT (Diphtheria Tetanus) vaccines.

There is no problem in the application of vaccines in our national vaccination program. However, there have been some problems regarding the HPV vaccines that we are continuing to include in our routine vaccination program.    In the context of the campaign, children who have been vaccinated with HPV are vaccinated according to the program. The applications of the remaining children will be evaluated and HPV vaccines will be given within the framework of the possibilities.
