Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu visited the closed city of Maraş together with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Kudret Özersay.

Minister Çavuşoğlu inspected Maraş and gained information regarding the region.

During the Council of Ministers meeting held on 18 June 2019, it was decided to take steps for the opening of the closed city of Maraş, which is has been closed since 1974, to conduct a scientific inventory study with a team of experts. Following the inventory study, it is planned to open the closed city of Maraş.

  1. I remember that Maraş was offered to the Greeks with the condition that Ercan airport was recognised as an International Airport. The Greeks refused the offer for this world upgrade the what they Calle the Pseudo State In the North. The problem is that the spoiled always wont every thing without giving anything in return. I hope they realise mow that this shall not work out anymore. They have to come down from the High Hope and accept that we have the final saying on this subject.
