Çavuşoğlu visits the TRNC

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu is in the TRNC to hold some official contacts.

Minister Çavuşoğlu held meetings with President Mustafa Akıncı, government officials and political party leaders regarding the Cyprus problem and the latest developments in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Çavuşoğlu was received by President Akıncı at 10:00 am today (9^th September). Çavuşoğlu also took part in a round table meeting which was organized at the Presidential Palace at 10:35am. The meeting was held with participation of President Akıncı and the political party leaders.

Furthermore, Çavuşoğlu attended a lunch hosted in his honour by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Kudret Özersay at 13:00 today.

Çavuşoğlu was also received by Prime Minister Ersin Tatar at 14:30 and leaves the island at 18:15.
