President Mustafa Akıncı had a telephone conversation with the UN Special Envoy to Cyprus Jane Holl Lute who was appointed by UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres in respect of the Cyprus Issue.
According to the statement made by the Presidency, Akıncı informed Lute regarding the meeting with the Greek Cypriot leader Nikos Anastasiades on 9 August 2019.
It was stated that during the telephone conversation President Akıncı and Lute exchanged their views concerning what steps should be taken for completing the terms of reference.
