Esentepe football teams are back in training

By Richard Beale….

It only seems like yesterday (May 26th) that Esentepe faced Binatli in a Super League Play Off match losing the game that condemned them to relegation to League 1

Yes for me it still hurts, but we have to move on and on July 15th Esentepe returned to training. Yes with the temperatures in the 30’s, the football season doesn’t start until mid September but footballers are back in training. Some Clubs have been back since the beginning of July in fact and as ever the transfer market has been busy too.

Esentepe Football teams, first team, and the young team combined together

With Esentepe some faces have left the Club, some old faces have returned to the Club, and there has been a couple of new faces. Defenders EREN MERAL and KAĞAN ARSU will have trials with the Club and will be assessed over the next couple of weeks hoping to earn a playing contract.

The Club are also in talks with a striker and midfield player, both from Turkey, and hope to make an announcement shortly.

Before the training session started Technical Director HÜSEYIN CAĞER, new Football President IBRAHIM BEYAZBAYRAM and Esentepe Village President CEMAL ERDOĞAN addressed the players.

After the speeches the players embarked on a few laps of the pitch walking and then jogging. Stretching and general warm up exercises followed and the session was finished off with an 8-a-side football match.

Esentepe young football team under the guidance of their new Technical Director ALI KANLI also started training on the 15th July.

Esentepe will continue to train around 4 times a week, they will spend time in August at a training camp in Turkey. This will be followed by a number of friendly football matches
