The 31st IŞIK Kitab Evi book fair opened on 28th August 2018, at the Kizilbas Church, Şht. Osman M. Benli Sk 9, Lefkoşa, and will remain open until 7th September.
A large number of books, both in Turkish and English have been included in the fair, where large numbers of visitors, young and old, are getting a chance to have a look at the new and old publications.
The organisers have made up a plan to arrange panel discussions every evening, where speakers will discuss various important topics of the present times, mostly related to the press and media.
The organisers have also arranged for a poetry session on the evening of 5th September.
The Orchestra of Lefkoşa Municipality performed at the opening ceremony of the fair. An exhibition of Cartoons was also organised on the opening evening of the fair.
