President Mustafa Akıncı and first lady Meral Akıncı will travel to Istanbul today (11th April) to attend the 21st Eurasian Economic Summit, as guests of the Marmara Group Foundation.

The two-day summit will be attended by selected Heads of State, Speakers of Parliament, and Prime Ministers.

President Mustafa Akıncı will give a speech at the presidential session on the subject of “The Dilemma of our Century: Technology vs Politics”.

The summit will also be attended by: Turkey’s former President Abdullah Gül, Albanian’s former President Bujar Nishi Thani, President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Marinko Cavara, Croatian former Presidents Ivo Josipovic and Stjepan Mesic, Latvian former President Valdis Zatlers, Macedonian President Gjorge Ivanov, Moldovan former President Petru Lucinsch, Governor of Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia Irina Vlah, and Romanian former President Emil Constantinescu.

President Akıncı will return to the island tomorrow evening (12th April).
