Over the past few years I have visited the Chateau Lambousa Hotel many times along with the Celebrity Hotel in Lapta which were built by John Aziz Kent and written many articles about the redevelopment of Le Chateau Lambousa hotel by Girne American University.
I recently had the opportunity to spend a few restful hours with John and his son Gordon on the beach adjoining the Celebrity Hotel which has now also been redeveloped by GAU and is called ” Le Chateau Plage” where you can have a real Mediterranean Experience lazing on the soft sands watching the pleasure boats gliding out to sea or if you are more energetic, then diving in and around the rocks in the deeper waters at the end of the harbour walls.
The facilities on the beach area are great with sun beds and parasols and a snack bar and restaurant to cater for all of your needs whilst resting alongside the Celebrity Hotel which was the first Turkish Cypriot Hotel built in Northern Cyprus.

Like the Phoenix, John’s dream of boosting the TRNC Tourism prospects is rising again through the redevelopment of his hotels by the Girne American University.
