Jamie’s new additional Guitar Club will be at the Baroosh Bar in Alsancak every Wednesday from 6pm to 8pm. If you like music this is a good chance to learn a new skill.

From the 16^th November – Monday	KAR will be having a “Winter Sparkles” event at their Shop No. 1 (near the Fire Station) … Evening wear, accessories and some men’s evening wear will be on offer … New stock will be arriving all the time so if you don’t see what you want when you visit, please try again.
2^nd to 30^th December	Ismet Tatar Art Exhibition – Geomorphologies at the Rauf Raif Denktas Cultural and Congress Centre, Famagusta.
3^rd December – Thursday	The Fez in Catalkoy will be holding the popular Alternative Quiz at 7.30pm … The quiz will be in aid of KAR and if you would like to attend and give support please contact the Fez on 0533 867 1781 or Mick Prior on 0533 877 4537.
3^rd December – Thursday Please note new time	Classic film event at The Food Lodge in Catalkoy in association with the DVD Shop, Catalkoy. Starting at 6.30pm you can enjoy Bedknobs and Broomsticks (1971) …. 12TL for the film, a soft drink and popcorn. There are also hot dogs and nachos available…. There will be a prize on the night for the best prop associated with the movie….To book call 0533 839 8764…
5^th December – Saturday	KAR will be having their Christmas Bazaar at Teachers Hotel in Girne starting at 11am … Always a great event to attend .. Any donations of unwanted gifts for the raffle would be appreciated and these can be dropped off at the KAR office in Karakum or at the Lambousa Saturday market.
6^th December – Sunday	Buyukkonuk Eco Village will be having an Olive Day event from 10am to 4pm … There will be local olives and olive products for sale and also villagers’ produce, bread, pastries, crafts etc .. Donkey rides for the children and music … A great day out for the family.
6^th December – Sunday	Esentepe Football Club – Away match v Yalova SK at 2pm Guzelyurt Zafer Stadium.
7^th December – Monday	RBL Quiz Night at the Black Olive Cafe, Alsancak…7pm… Please book with Sheila on 0533 833 3228
8^th December – Tuesday	St Andrew’s Church….Men Meet….11am in the Church Hall …… The speaker will be Jarra Brown talking about his book “46 Miles” … For more information contact John Hodgson on 0533 860 6345
9^th December – Wednesday	The Black Olive Cafe, Alsancak will be holding a Christmas Bazaar in aid of Tulips … 15TL for tea/coffee and cakes, with 5TL being donated to Tulips .. Stalls and raffle … Food available .. If anyone would like to donate prizes please contact Vicki on 0533 835 5133.

12^th December – Saturday	NCCCT will be having their Christmas Bazaar at the Pia Bella Hotel …. A nice chance to look for gifts for Christmas presents … More information to follow soon.
12^th December – Saturday	Esentepe Football Club – Away match v Baf Ulku Yurdu at 2pm Guzelyurt Zafer Stadium.
12^th December – Saturday	British Residents’ Society will be hold their annual Christmas Cheer event from 10am to 1pm at St Andrew’s Church Hall … Tea/coffee, mince pies and mulled wine available … George Ward of the Kyrenia Chamber Choir will be there for carol singing … You can also renew membership at the BRS desk on the day …
12^th December – Saturday	JK’s Bar in Lapta will be having their BIG Xmas Party starting at 8pm with mulled wine, cocktails and a free buffet and live music from Pete Murray … All are welcome … For more information call 0533 835 6114
15^th December – Tuesday	Starlite will be performing their last charity Christmas sing-along at The Ship Inn at 7.30pm. Song sheets will be available and a 10TL donation for RBL. 16^th December – Wednesday	Dogankoy Community Association will be holding a pre-Christmas lunch at Al Shaheen Restaurant in Karakum at 1pm … 2-course meal – starter and traditional Turkey dinner followed by coffee and brandy … 40TL per person … Raffle .. To book contact Paula on 0533 830 3256.
16^th December – Wednesday	Rotary Club of Kyrenia Liman Club Meeting at the Dome Hotel, Girne starting at 7pm .. All welcome so an opportunity to go along and learn about Rotary and the work it does for the benefit of others.

19th December –Saturday	The Black Olive Cafe, Alsancak will be having a Children’s Christmas Workshop from 12noon to 3pm, with lunch and Father Christmas .. 50TL including lunch and drinks and decorating their own gingerbread house and cookies to take home .. 20^th December – Sunday	Esentepe Football Club – Home match v Dumlupinar SK at 2pm Esentepe Erdal Barut Stadium.
21^st and 22^nd December Monday and Tuesday	Efendi Restaurant, Girne will have Rachel entertaining with Christmas songs .. 30tL per ticket, available from the Bar .. 23^rd December – Wednesday	Dogankoy Community Association will be having a fun carol singing event starting at 4pm at Dogankoy Church … Following this there will be a gathering at the Muhtarlik for mulled wine and mince pies.
23^rd December – Wednesday	Rotary Club of Kyrenia Liman will be having an End of Year Party at the Dome Hotel, Girne starting at 7pm which will be a Reception with music, raffle … Canapés etc. 60TL per person including local drinks.
25^th December – Friday HAPPY CHRISTMAS	Christmas Morning swim in aid of charity at Shayna Beach, Catalkoy, starting at 10am … The event will be in aid of KAR, NCCCT and Karakum Special Needs School … Turkish and English breakfasts will be available after the swim. Proceeds to the 3 charities … Even if you are not brave enough to swim, please try to go along and give support.
26^th December – Saturday	Boxing Day at the Races – with RBL at Nicosia Racecourse…Ticket price t.b.c….To book contact Gloria on 0533 843 5549..
