Cyprus Negotiations Going Well!

And Now Music For Peace!

The three recipients of the first ever U.S. State Department’s Cultural Diplomacy award in Cyprus will appear in an exciting event entitled ‘CONCERTS WITHOUT BORDERS at the Bedesten in Central Nicosia!

US. Soprano and Grammy Nominee Demetra George Mustafoglu, Pianist Fikri Toros and Mezzo Soprano Katie Economidou will share the stage for the first time since the award was made in May 2015.

The evening will offer classical, opera, art song, Broadway, and folk music with quite a few surprises thrown in. The supporting cast will consist of Maestro, Rauf Kasimov, flutist Burak Besir and violinist Marios Pavlou .

For a night with a difference cocktails will be served at 19:30 from the wonderful nearby Saraba restaurant and wine will be provided by Starling Markets.

The music will begin at 20:15. Afterwards you will have the chance to come and greet the performers and have your photos taken with the artists.

Don’t forget to bring your iPhone or cameras. You will want to record this history making night!

Proceeds from this night, which has been supported by The Little Society Of Kyrenia and Living Magazine and Fraser Meridies Ltd will go to the The Lefkoşa Özel Eğitim Merkezi and The Lefkoşa Özel Eğitim ve Lefkoşa Özel Eğitim ve İş Merkezi (Centers for Children with Special Needs in Nicosia).

Entrance is by donation of 35TL and invitations are available  at Deniz Plaza, from the artists, or at the door.
