Harmony at the Hermitage

A film show to amaze!

Here we have news of a film show to amaze at the Hermitage on Friday the 18th September at 6.30pm .Harmony at the heritage sml

Director Mike Leigh brings to life not just Victorian London, but shows us in sumptuous detail how The Mikado came to be. The storyline of Gilbert and Sullivan’s relationship interspersed with performances of parts of the opera makes the whole a joy to watch.

The music is a clear winner here, bringing out the nuance of wit and inspiration in the text and showing just why Gilbert and Sullivan were the Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice of their day.

A simply excellent production. Gilbert and Sullivan come to life.

Gate open 6.30pm – Bring your own picnic – 15TL entrance fee and all proceeds will go to the church funds.
