Book Launch at Near East Bank, Lefkoşa
to celebrate Mothers’ Day

We were invited to a book launch at Near East Bank in Lefkoşa on Friday 8th May but unfortunately were unable 
to attend due to a prior commitment. We were very disappointed to miss this book launch as it was such a lovely theme being a recipe book including recipes of 72 mothers and their children and was published (in Turkish) to 
celebrate Mothers’ Day.
Şerife Akman, Director of Corporate Communications and Digital Marketing has kindly supplied some information and pictures of the event and this is the information Şerife has sent to us:-
A new recipe book “Sevginin Tadı Tuzu” which includes recipes of 72 mothers and their children has been published to celebrate Mother’s Day.
This project was initiated and organized by three mothers, Mutlu Soykurt, Özge Ertuğrul and Hatice Kayım, who together with many other mothers and their children volunteered to provide their special recipes and have this book published.
Almost all of the great photos of families and their dishes were taken by two professional photographers Tijen Yakup Erol and Mehmet Ali Serak who have also volunteered. Near East Bank and Magic Touch Copy and Design Center sponsored the publication and social media for 
the advertising of this book.
The money raised in this project will be donated to children getting cancer treatment in Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu General Hospital, Oncology Service. The aim of this project is to improve the quality of life for these and future generations of sick children. Every child deserves a healthy and happy childhood. Every supporter makes a difference for these children and will bring smile to their faces.
