Approximately 95 people attended this month’s coffee morning at The Savoy Ottoman Palace Hotel & Casino in Girne for the North Cyprus Cancer Charity Trust (NCCCT).
The event, organised by committee member Barbara and her husband Ron, raised almost 2,000TL.
Deputy chairperson Pauline Collins thanked everyone for attending and also thanked the hotel for providing all the refreshments.
Pauline also took the opportunity to mention the refurbishments to Heartbeat, the NCCCT’s second-hand shop in Girne.
Thanks to the efforts of the shop manager, Mehmet, and his team of volunteers, the shop has been rearranged and spring and summer stock is now available. The next time you’re in town, why not call in and take a look?
Heartbeat, which is situated in the old Girne hospital, is open each Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9.30am to 1pm. Donations of clothes, books, bric-a-brac and household items are always welcome.
Next month’s coffee morning will be held at The Dome Hotel in Girne on Tuesday, 12th May 2015 at 10.30am. We hope to see you there!
