For this week’s Vox Pop programme on  BRT2 Live on Sunday 8th of March at 13.30am, I recently took my film crew along to Cafe George in Girne to meet up with the very colourful Wendy Smith and Peter Toms.

A few years ago  Wendy was known for her role as the Lady in Red who had a mission to make the public aware of the need to give blood. Now she has come together with Peter and they  have the same desire to promote the fact that “A gift of Blood” is a “Gift of Life” and on their first promotional event, the Red Weekend nearly 10 times more blood was given than at the previous BRS blood donation day held  during December  2014.

With this level of success they are now planning further promotional activities to again increase the number of blood donations made.

This show will be repeated  on Wednesday the 11th March at 11.00am so do please tell your friends and we hope you will join us for this fascinating show.
