  1. Have I missed something?
For the benefit of all concerned, It would be appropriate(recognise human rights) to see an agenda of chapters of disagreement in the negotiating process and see the options for their resolution explaining the impact on all those affected. All we are getting, at present, are incomplete sound bites leaving uncertainty in peoples’ minds. Such announcements need to be detailed and comprehensive and provide avenues of appeal to the Government for those persons affected.

“The recent proposal, reported in Cyprus Today page 6 by ANIL IŞİK 26 Aprıl 2014, by the KKTC Government to enable Turkish Cypriots, Foreıgn Natıonals and legal entıtıes to purchase or exchange or pay compensatıon for ‘eşdeğer’ or exchange property from the orıgınal owner, or pay compensatıon.”.

As far as foreign nationals are concerned, they purchased property legally under defacto KKTC State legislation and the Turkish Cypriot former owner post 1978 received the purchase price.

QUESTION ? Does this new bill apply to future former Greek Cypriot Land acquisitions or does it apply apply retrospectively to previously purchased land. If it includes the latter, who pays the compensation and how is this compensation calculated?
