“Solution in Energy” Seminar
The seminar which was organized by GAU AR-GE Club, entitled “Solution in Energy” a topic on the “Efficient usage of Energy and 100% Recyclable Energy Systems” was held as part of the Girne American University (GAU) 2013/2014 Academic Year’s events.
The opening speech for the seminar on “Efficient usage of Energy and 
100% Recyclable Energy Systems” which was held in GAU Cyprus Campus Millennium Senate Congress Hall was conducted by Vice-Rector – Prof. Dr. Sadık Ülker who emphasized that the most significant energy problem of today’s world can be undermined through alternative energy and he thanked GAU AR-GE club for their contribution in this respect. Also Vice-Rector Ülker thanked Prof. Dr. Tanay Sıdkı Uyar on behalf of GAU for contributing to the seminar with his participation.
Uyar said, “Turkey and Cyprus are very productive with regard to Alternative Energy Production”

and the Chair of World Wind Energy Association – Prof. Dr. Sıdkı Uyar emphasized the alternative energy systems and their benefits. Uyar also underlined the hardship they faced during the initiation of this process, Uyar further stated that fossil and nuclear based energies are non-economic and thus cause a great threat to the environment.
Uyar stated that alternative energy system installations are much more economic in today’s world and electrical energy can be obtained with more minimal costs. It has further been claimed that Turkey and Cyprus are indeed very productive by means of solar and wind energy production. It has been reported that renewable energy resources such as solar and wind are more favourable in demand for the future, thus governments need to act with sensitivity on this issue to promote alte
rnative energy production.

In his speech, Uyar also emphasized on alternative energy production in developed countries and the productivity rate with regard to energy production. Uyar also underlined that the systems are gradually developing over time and this will result in lower costs in electrical energy production. Uyar reported that everybody must be sensitive on this issue. Uyar stated that both enterpreneurs and students can forward their enquiries to him via Twitter.
Finally at the end of the seminar GAU Vice-Rector – Prof. Dr. Sadık Ülker presented Prof. Dr. Tanay Sıdkı Uyar with a plaque of appreciation for his contribution.
