From 9th November for 4 weeks	The Round Tower in Girne are extending the exhibition of photographs taken by Richard Chamberlain during his military service in Cyprus 1954/55. This was a very popular exhibition when it was previously displayed so if you missed it now is the chance to see all these very interesting photographs… For further information contact Linda Smith of The Round Tower on 0533 875 3056.
December – Information	Information from The Friends of the TRNC Emergency Services…Please note there will be no Afternoon Tea Talk or Quiz Night in the month of December..…Information from NCCCT.Please note there will be no Bingo Night in the month of December.
6th December – Friday	There will be a pre-Christmas party at Tervetuloa in Alsancak. Excellent food in lovely surroundings. Music with DJ Mike.To book contact Afett on 0392 821 1220 or 0542 851 4140.
7th December – Saturday	Andrew sings….. will be performing at the Sh-Boom Bar in Alsancak. More details to follow soon.
7th December – Saturday	Kyrenia Animal Rescue will be holding their Christmas Bazaar at Teachers Hotel in Girne starting at 11am. If you can supply any cakes or savouries which can be sold, or preserves KAR will be very grateful. Also perhaps you could contribute some ingredients for others to bake cakes. If so please contact Gwen on 0533 868 9497.But nevertheless please go along and enjoy the bazaar, there will be many items to choose from to help with your Christmas shopping and you may well see Santa there as well.
7th December – Saturday	There will be a Tamla Motown and Soul Special night at O’Live Bar in Alsancak with DJ Mike. Food will not be available but come along, have a drink and dance the night away. No pre-booking required.
7th and 8th December..Saturday and Sunday..	The Friends of the TRNC Emergency Services will be opening their “Santa’s Grotto” at the Mountain View Hotel for the local schools and all children who would like to come along and visit Santa. 12.30pm to 6pm on both days. Children pay 5TL to see Santa and receive a small gift. This is going to be a superb grotto which will delight children of all ages. There will be a photographer present to capture those magic moments.
8th December – Sunday	There will be a Darts Competition at Jessics Bar & Restaurant in Karsiyaka which has been organised by Maureen and John Swayne in memory of John’s nephew and this will be in aid of Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips). The event will start at 1pm and the darts competition at 2pm. There will be a raffle with more than 40 prizes and a BBQ will also be available with 5TL being donated to Tulips from each meal sold.
8th December – Sunday	Lemar Alsancak Christmas Fayre from 10am. There will be lots of stalls with lots to choose from. Vicki from Black Olive Cafe will be there with a selection of food, cakes, hot dogs, mulled wine and she will also be taking orders for Christmas.
9th December – Monday	RBL will be holding their monthly quiz night at the Deniz Kizi Hotel at 7pm. There will not be food available but if you want to have a meal this can be taken in the main part of the hotel from 6pm.For 2014 – the RBL quiz nights will be the 2nd Monday of each month, except November, at Deniz Kizi.
10th and 11th December.. Tuesday and Wednesday	The Friends of the TRNC Emergency Services will be holding their Christmas Sing-along at the Mountain View Hotel. This is always a popular event so book early to avoid disappointment. Tickets at 30TL per person, which will include a plate of food, are now available from Trevor Hughes at the Dagli Sigorta stand, Lambousa Market or at the Quiz Night.Alternatively, Contact Brenda on 0533 840 7834 or Jenny on 0533 876 1483
13th December – Friday	The Lapta Sports Club are holding a Dinner Dance at the Merit Crystal Cove in Alsancak starting at 8pm. Tickets are available for a donation of 75TL per person and will include a meal and local drinks. There will be live music and lots of surprises. 13th December – Friday.	Black Olive Cafe – Christmas Fun Quiz. 7.30 for dinner of a glass of mulled wine, Roast Turkey and Pork and a Mince Puff and then the quiz with the dessert at half time. 30TL per person.To book a place contact Vicki on 0533 835 5133 or email theblackolivecafe@gmail.com
14th December – Saturday	NCCCT will be holding their Christmas Bazaar at The Pia Bella Hotel, Girne starting at around 11.00am.Come along and see the many stalls and start Christmas shopping. There will be plenty to choose from.
14th December – Saturday	The Corner House in Ozankoy will have their Santa’s Grotto and a fun-packed afternoon from 1pm to 3pm. There will be a raffle with some great prizes and of course Father Christmas will be there for the children (and adults)..This event is in aid of the Children in Need Foundation.
15th December – Sunday	The Black Olive Cafe/Studio will be holding a Christmas Extravaganza from 2.30pm. Children 5TL for chocolate, juice and Santa. There will be carol singing, a tap dancing show, children’s games and of course Father Christmas will be there. Food will be available as well as mulled wine. 16th December – Monday..For the whole week	The new KAR shop will be having another Winter Sparkles event where there will be lots of party wear available, including dresses, tops, trousers, jackets and much more. If you still need something special to wear for the Festive Season why not go along and see what is on offer.The new shop is located just around the corner from the old one.
18th December – Wednesday	The group who look after the upkeep of Dogankoy Church have arranged a pre-Christmas lunch at 1pm at Al Shaheen Restaurant in Karakum. This will be 35TL per person and consists of a 2-course meal followed by tea/coffee and a liqueur.
18th December – Wednesday	Royal British Legion Kyrenia Branch will be holding a Christmas Party at The Courtyard Inn, Karakum when there will be a Christmas carols/sing-along and a raffle.If anyone would like to donate prizes for the raffle, they will be gratefully received by RBL.
18th December – Wednesday	Royal British Legion Kyrenia Branch will be holding a Christmas Party at The Olive Press Bowling Club which will include a Christmas sing-along.Further details to follow.
20th December – Friday	DJ Mike will be at Bollywoods in Karakum. It is Robby’s 50th birthday so should be a good party atmosphere. To book a table call Hussain on 0533 848 2010. Why not go along, have a meal and join the party.
20th December – Friday	The George Cafe in Girne will be holding a Christmas Party in conjunction with an event in aid of a local orphanage. Andrew sings….. will be appearing and this popular duo will be sure to provide some great music. More details to follow soon.
25th December – Wednesday.. Christmas Day	If you are still wondering what to do on Christmas Day, the Mountain View Hotel in Karaoglanoglu will be doing a full Christmas dinner and you can stay overnight if you wish. There will be a lot of music from DJ Mike and a lovely festive atmosphere. Bookings to be made direct with the hotel – Call Sue on 0533 848 5115.
25th December – Wednesday.. Christmas Day	If you want something to do Christmas morning before consuming all of that Turkey and the trimmings, how about a morning dip at Kervansaray Beach. 10.30am with the swim at 11am. This is in aid of Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips).
26th December – Thursday	Royal British Legion Kyrenia Branch are arranging Boxing Day at the Races… Further details to follow.
31st December – Tuesday.. New Year’s Eve	See the New Year in at Rafters Restaurant in Ozankoy. We will be treated to music from Andrew Sings….. so we are in for a fabulous evening with good food, good company and brilliant entertainment from Andrew and Glen.To book a table contact Abbas on 0533 849 7512 or 0392 815 2946
31st December – Tuesday.. New Year’s Eve	Le Jardin in Catalkoy are offering a special all-inclusive menu and DJ Mike will be providing music leading up to bringing in the New Year. For details and booking please contact Khan on 0533 873 0310 or 0533 820 8657.
2014	Happy New Year to all.
20th January 2014…Please note the venue is now Pine Bay Club Hotel, Alsancak	NCCCT Bingo at the Pine Bay Club Hotel, Alsancak starting at 8pm. The rollover jackpot stands at 900TL. 35TL for a book of bingo sheets and a chance of a mini Mars or Snickers Bar for winning lines or a house and of course there is the free raffle as well. Snacks available if ordered on arrival and these will be served at half time. 6th April – Sunday	Esentepe Fun, Run and Ramble 2014 will be taking place starting at the Magic Bar near Esentepe.This event is in aid of Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips).There will be a 2km, 5km and 8km race with registration starting at 8.45am. Sponsorship forms will be available from mid-January and can be pre-requested by emailing esentepefunrunandramble2014@outlook.comMore information to follow later.
