ELDERLY AND CHILD CARE SUPPORT

PROJECT

The social responsibility project -The Flying Angels – of the GAU Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Education and the Higher School of Nursing & Health Sciences are commencing a support project for the elderly and children in the new academic year.

The aim of the Academic staff and students of GAU Faculty of Humanities Department of Psychology, Faculty of Education Pre-School Teaching and Higher School of Nursing who contributed under Flying Angels project is to serve all parts of the society seeking aid, including regions of Girne to the Karpaz, providing care and educational support for the elderly and for children.

It has been explained that the project is a good criteria for the unification of the university and the community. Within the scope of the project, care for the elderly, domestic medical and psychological support for the elderly, book reading and other social contributions with regard to cultural and artistic events have been organised by the Higher-school of Nursing, Psychology and Pre-school Teaching staff and students.

It has further been stated that scientific support is also being provided for care, pre-school education, psychological support, cognitive, emotional and the psychomotor development of pre-school aged children of aidless families.
