Thanks from Children in Need Foundation

We have received an update from the Children in Need Foundation and they would like to say a big thank you to their supporters for two fund-raising events held recently.

Big thanks to Doug and Ellie Cope – ex committee members and now Friends of CiNF for their organisation and involvement in two super fundraising fun events this week that raised a total of 4,800 TL for the Foundation.

Firstly, on Thursday evening a fun Quiz and Race night held at the famous Fez in Catalkoy and hosted by the amazing Gary Pearce and Steve Donnelly raised 3,100 TL from the 99 people who attended. Very many thanks to Gary, Steve and the rest of the Fez team for making it such a successful evening.

Then on Friday, Doug and Ellie, together with CiNF chairperson Mally Torris were invited to attend the TIGA TRADING Spring Reunion party to hold a raffle where 50% of the proceeds, 1,700 TL was raised for CiNF. Again many thanks to ‘Tony’ and his team for making this possible.

Both TIGA TRADING and The Fez are long term supporters of the Children in Need Foundation and help us to achieve our objectives

The next big CiNF event is the One Love Concert at the Girne Amphitheatre on Saturday July 6th, featuring the internationally acclaimed 7 piece band Legend performing all the great hits of the iconic Bob Marley and the Wailers. Tickets are 50 TL and will be available from the end of May from Cafe George in Girne, Property Centre Lapta, and DVD shop in Catalkoy.
