PRESIDENT EROGLU SHALL ORGANIZE A PRESS CONFERENCE TODAY

President Dervis Eroğlu will come together with media members at 10.30 on Wednesday 22nd May.

Eroğlu will put forward the recent developments about the Cyprus problem and his opinions regarding the internal issues and will reply to the questions of media members at the press conference which will be held at the Presidency.

In the written statement made by the Presidency it was stated that the opportunity of live transmission will be provided for radio and television at the press conference.

HASIKOS: “MAFIA TYPE ACTIVITY OF TURKISH CYPRIOT IMMOVABLES OCCURED”

Greek Cypriot Minister of Internal Affairs, Sokratis Hasikos, announced that a ‘mafia’ type activity occurred at the Greek Cypriot Ministry of Internal Affairs during the Christofyas government in order to sell the Turkish Cypriot immovable properties in South Cyprus and many employees of the Ministry were under investigation.

According to the Greek Cypriot newspaper ‘Fileleftheros’ in the statement Hasikos made yesterday he stated that almost 10 employees at the Ministry of Internal Affairs have been accused of creating a gang to sell the Turkish Cypriot immovable properties in South Cyprus and they are both under criminal and disciplinary investigation.
