26th to 28th February Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday Olive Press Flat Green Bowling The Olive Press will be holding a Ryder Cup of Bowls which will be 3 days of intense competition between East Girne and West Girne.  Why not go along and watch some of the bowling.
1st March – Friday

Turkish Language classes to be held at the Ҫatalköy Municipality building.  If you are interested in this free 8-week course why not go along at 10.30am on 1st March to join.

The Foreign Residents in the TRNC will be holding a bowling competition at King’s Pin Leisure Centre starting at 1pm.  TFR have named this Bowling Cup of the Nations.  6TL per person per game or 13TL per person for 1 game, pizza and a beverage.

8th March – Friday Bird

8pm at Bellapais Abbey.  3 Russian artists, Pjotr Meshvinski (cello) Leonid Rabinovich (viola) and Rauf Kasimov (piano) reunite after 30 years and celebrate with a joint recital.  Tickets 30TL from Deniz Plaza (Kyrenia & Nicosia), Bestseller Bookshop in Kyrenia, Kybele Restaurant in Bellapais, Bellapais Abbey Ticket Office.  The concert is in support of Kușkor, the North Cyprus Society for the Protection of Birds and Nature.

11th April – ThursdayFriends of the TRNC Emergency Services

The Friends of the TRNC Emergency Services will be holding their Annual Ball at the Rocks Hotel, Girne.    Tickets will be 120TL per person and includes a 4-course meal and local drinks.  There will be live music and entertainment.  Dress – Black Tie/Lounge Suit.  To book for this very popular annual event call Brenda on 0533 840 7834 or Jenny on 0533 876 1483 or call at the stall at Lambousa Saturday market.

20th April – SaturdayKANSERLOGOTURKISH sml

This will be the 3rd Esentepe Fun Run and will be in memory of George Roper who died in 2012 and was the instigator of the original event to raise funds for Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips). The route will take the “old shore” road between the Carrington main office (co-located with Magic Bar) and the main junction to Esentepe.  The runs will be 2k starting at 10am (registration 08.30), 10k starting at 11am (registration 9am) and 5k starting at 12 noon (registration 9.30am).  The 2k and 5k will be on the shore route and the 10k will follow the same route but will have 40m on the main road.

24th April – WednesdayOlive Press Flat Green Bowling The Olive Press will be celebrating their 1st birthday with a bowls competition from 9am until around 4pm and in the evening there will be a party starting at 8pm.  Tickets will firstly be available to members but after 22nd February any remaining tickets will be available to anyone who would like to attend.
