Romancing the Wind

For anyone who may be interested in kite flying this video is well worth watching.  It was recently sent to me via email and I found it wonderful to watch and the person flying the kites has such superb control as they twist and turn and dance in the wind.   Maybe it takes a lot of practice or perhaps you just need to have the knack of controlling the strings.

On a trip to China some years ago I remember seeing a lot of kite flying as we travelled around.  Of course, it is a very popular pastime there but I didn’t see anything as spectacular as this.

So sit back for a few minutes and enjoy the sight of the dancing kites and haunting music of the Flower Duet from Lakme by Delibes.
