RBL KYRENIA BRANCH CELEBRATES ITS FIRST ANNIVERSARY
THE Royal British Legion (RBL) Kyrenia Branch celebrates its first anniversary at the beginning of October following a high-profile launch on 1 October 2011.
This will be an opportunity for members to see and enjoy one of the new keystone venues of the branch, collect their tickets for the 2012 Poppy Ball, collect their new membership cards and also renew their annual RBL branch membership on this due date.
Commencing at 6pm there will be a drinks reception where members can enjoy a free welcome drink and canapés when they present a pre-booked ticket.
The reception will be followed by the bi-monthly branch meeting which will commence at 7.30pm and is open to members only. The branch President Sir Michael Graydon will be present to address the meeting.
The final event of the evening will be a curry supper from 8.30pm followed by a 45 minute talk by ex ITN cameraman Gary Mullins entitled ‘Behind the Lens at ITN’ which is open to both members for 20tl and non-members for 25tl.
This is likely to be a fascinating talk as the vastly experienced Mr Mullins has filmed in practically every major war zone over the last 30 years including Bosnia, Iraq and Afghanistan.
To reserve your ticket for any of the events outlined above contact our entertainments secretary Pamela Padden on: 0533 873 6876 or by emailing her at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Pre-booked tickets can be collected from the RBL stall at the Lambousa market or at the door on the night. The dress for the event is smart casual. Please visit the branch website at: www.rblkyrenia.com for further information on other events.
