Out of sorts Esentepe must get back to winnings ways and there can be no better chance on Saturday when they face the Leagues bottom club Karşıyaka. There is never any “give me “” matches in football but this match is the ideal chance to restore confidence and put the team back on track in their efforts to clinch a promotion “play off” place. I think Ozanköy are done and dusted and deservedly so will go up automatically. Teams that finish 2nd and 3rd in the White Group and in the Red Group, will play in a “play off” to contest the final promotion place . Esentepe must beat Karsiyaka as next week they face in form and fourth place Gönyeli away.
Karşıyaka have had a wretched season only winning one match and that was against Doğancı in the beginning of December. They have had a change of Coach with Yusuf Tek being dismissed ın October and replaced by Emre Perçını . However, the change has failed to galvanise the team and the Coach ıs still seeking his first win under his leadership. Even though Karşıyaka are firmly rooted at the bottom on only 6 points they must still be given respect and a home win is by means no certainty.

Esentepe will have İlyas available for selection after serving his one match suspension and he is expected to reclaim his place in midfield. Başak and certainly Burak will be missing through injury and there could be doubts about Firat and Uğurcan who are both carrying knocks.
Back in November 2016, Esentepe won 2-0 away to Karşıyaka but the hosts were decidedly unlucky not to get something out of the game. Karşıyaka enjoyed the greater territory and Esentepe were thankful to goalkeeper Ali who was in fine form. Eser (30) and İlyas (87) were the Esentepe goalscorers.

A woeful Esentepe performance which sounds famıliar finished with 10 men after Başak was sent off in the 78th minute for arguing with the referee. It could have been 0-6, but for fine saves by goalkeeper Serkan a very bad day at the office indeed. Karşıyaka goalscorers : Olgun (22), Hasan (54), Cengiz (85) Match played on the 17/10/2015.
