ATAOĞLU: “INVESTMENTS MADE IN THE TRNC ARE INVESTMENTS THAT COMPETE WITH THE WORLD”
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu attended the Tourism Investment Forum (TIF 2026), which will last for 2 days, hosted by the Turkish Tourism Investors Association (TTYD), with the support of the Presidency of Turkey Investment and Finance Office, the Turkish Tourism Promotion and Development Agency, and the main sponsorship of Türkiye İş Bankası, and delivered the opening speech.
In his opening speech at the “Tourism Investment Forum – TIF 2026” held in Istanbul, where important names of global tourism investments came together, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu stated that the investments made in the TRNC so far and their continuity are important and said, “Investments made in the TRNC are investments that compete with the world.”
Visitors to the TRNC are increasing
Ataoğlu underlined that the number of visitors to the TRNC has increased as a result of the “ADA Cyprus” project and the agreements made with airlines.
Adding that they are continuing to work very seriously on the inclusion of new investors in the country, Ataoğlu said, “As the TRNC, we say that our door is always open to investors coming to our country and that there are no bureaucratic obstacles to investors to be made. In addition to the young population investors, we are honoured that our brothers and sisters who will work in investments are also young and take care of their work.”
After the opening speeches, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu met with the Minister of Culture and Tourism of Turkey, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, and spoke for a while.
