Girne Cycle App Launch: Eco-Friendly Urban Transport

Micromobility Application Launched

Girne Municipality has launched a new micromobility application to make urban transportation more practical, flexible, and environmentally friendly. This application, implemented in line with Girne Municipality’s transportation vision, provides residents and visitors of Girne with a fast and easy transportation alternative for short distances.

The application, a result of collaboration with TAZI, a company operating in the micromobility field, has started operating in Girne. Thanks to the system, which is easily accessible via a mobile application, users can start driving from any point in the city.

ANCIENT GIRNE HARBOR AREA CLOSED TO DRIVING!

In a statement made by Girne Municipality, it was emphasized that the Ancient Girne Harbor area (between the Tourism Information Office and Girne Castle) is strictly closed to driving. It was stated that users found driving in this area will be subject to an administrative fine of 5,000 TL. HOW TO USE TAZI?

Citizens who want to use the application can create a membership and make rental transactions instantly by downloading the Tazı mobile application from the App Store and Google Play.

REGIONS AND PRICING

It is stated that the application can be actively used in the Karaoğlanoğlu, Zeytinlik, Doğanköy, Karakum, Beylerbeyi and Ozanköy regions; it is noted that more detailed location information can be obtained from the application and the determined pricing model is ‘Minute rate: 10.99 TL’, ‘Starting rate: 10.99 TL’, ‘Reservation fee: 6.99 TL’.

Girne Mayor Murat Şenkul, who made a statement on the subject, drew attention to the importance of environmentally friendly and innovative transportation solutions for urban life. The implementation of such micromobility applications in Girne will contribute both to urban life and to our environmental goals.
