GAU Communication Faculty Visits Kyrenia Municipality Shelter

Girne American University (GAU) Faculty of Communication students and academicians visited the Kyrenia Municipality Animal Shelter and Rehabilitation Centre and received information about the activities carried out in the center. Food support was also provided to the shelter during the visit.

The group was welcomed by Kyrenia Municipality Deputy Director Naile Soyel and Veterinarian Erinç Farçoğlu and informed about the operation of the shelter, rehabilitation processes and adoption steps. GAU Faculty of Communication Dean Prof. Dr. Neriman Saygılı expressed his satisfaction with the safe and good conditions of the dear friends and thanked the Kyrenia Municipality.

Shelter officials drew attention to the importance of evaluating the health status of animals and matching them correctly with new owners during the adoption process. It was stated that each animal adopted at the centre was sent to its new homes after the microchip and license procedures were completed.
