Emre Çelikkol’s Exhibition “Journey” Opened at ARUCAD Art Space
Arkın University of Creative Arts and Design (ARUCAD) Ceramics Department faculty member, Asst. Prof. Dr. Emre Çelikkol’s solo exhibition “Journey” met with art lovers at the opening cocktail event held at ARUCAD Art Space on Tuesday, July 29th.
Working with both fragile and resistant materials such as glass and ceramics, Çelikkol brings the emotions shaped around the themes of belonging, separation, and restarting to the audience in this series. The bird figure at the center of the exhibition; In addition to freedom, it also symbolizes exile, loneliness, and the desire to return home.
Tracing a forced or voluntary beginning, The Journey presents reflections of both an individual and a universal inner journey with each of its works. The delicate structure of glass and ceramics strongly reflects the emotions such as transformation, fracture, and restructuring discussed in the exhibition.
The exhibition “Journey” can be visited until August 22, 2025, at ARUCAD Art Space in Nicosia Mufti Raci Efendi Street.
