Iskele Hosted The 6^th Fusion Of Cultures Event

The Fusion of Cultures Event, organized by İskele Municipality for the 6th time on Sunday, October 6th, contributed to the promotion of the cultures of many countries as well as the TRNC culture.

The preparation, which started days in advance, received full marks after the full-day event. Singer Derya Uluğ took the stage at the finale of the event, where the flow of people did not diminish for a moment. In his statement, İskele Mayor Hasan Sadıkoğlu thanked those who set up a stand at the Fusion of Cultures Event, which they organized for the 6th time this year, the people who participated in the event throughout the day, and everyone, especially President Ersin Tatar, who was with them at the opening.

THE 6TH FUSION OF CULTURES EVENT ENDED WITH THE CONCERT OF DERYA ULUĞ

İskele Municipality’s 1st Annual Meeting on Sunday, October 5. Singer Derya Uluğ, who gave a concert at İskele Ecevit Square at the finale of the Fusion of Cultures Event, gave an unforgettable night to those who came to listen to her. The singer, who sang her songs with her fans who filled the concert area, received full marks with her stage performance and the songs she sang during her stay on the stage.

THE 6TH FUSION OF CULTURES EVENT WAS FULL

The Fusion of Cultures Event, organized for the 6th time this year by İskele Municipality, which has succeeded in bringing colours and cultures together in İskele in every event, started at 10 in the morning and continued throughout the day. The ambulance and medical team of Cyprus Central Hospital/Famagusta Medical Centre LTD and the İskele Municipality Health Unit took part in the event area for the health of the public throughout the day, and the İskele Police Department and the İskele Municipality Police Unit took part in the event area for the safety of the public.

In the event, where some streets from the City Centre of Iskele were closed to vehicle traffic, dance performances were performed by those who come from Motherland Turkey and know Cyprus as their homeland, the sister cities of Iskele Municipality, Iskele Municipality’s sister cities, Trabzon Ortahisar Municipality, Mersin Yenişehir Municipality, Finike Municipality, 3. Country; Azerbaijan, Philippines, Turkmenistan, Uyghur Turks, India, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Jordan, Libya, United Kingdom, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Sudan, Kazakhstan, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Kenya also took part.

Local artists at the event; Group Deniz Feneri, Halil Sahkın & SOS, Murat Çiğ and his Orchestra, Yahya Erenköy and his Orchestra gave concerts, while in addition to the İskele Municipality Folk Dance Ensemble, TUFAD Sirttaki group, Azerbaijan Cultural Association, Philippines, Iran, Youth Department Akdoğan Youth Center AKGEM Roman Dance Group, Geçitkale – Serdarlı Municipality Geçitkale Folk Dance Ensemble, Dancebase Kpop Team, DİGEM Folk Dance Team, Near East Sports Tower Dance and Gymnastics School “Latin Dance Group” also performed dance performances added colour to the day.
