WORK CONTINUES ON THE MAUSOLEUM OF RAUF RAIF DENKTAŞ

The Deputy Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment continues to work on the first phase of the Founding President Rauf Raif Denktaş Mausoleum.

Deputy Prime Minister Fikri Ataoğlu examined the works on site and stated that the first stage works will be completed in mid-November and will be ready for the anniversary ceremonies of the TRNC to be held on November 15th 2024.

Explaining that the Landscaping and Landscape Design of the Republic Park is continuing in the Mausoleum, Ataoğlu stated that the irrigation system has been established, the planting works of the grass areas have been carried out and the skateboard area has been prepared.

Stating that the soil quality in the current region is not good and that new soil has been supplemented in the area, Ataoğlu emphasized that the analysis of the old and new soil has been made and the plants are ready for planting within this framework.

It was also stated that the plants to be planted around the mausoleum have started to be moved to the area, Ataoğlu said that the plants will be planted at the end of September and the beginning of October.

Emphasizing that the second phase of the project includes the renewal of the electrical system, the construction of children’s playgrounds and the wiretapping of the area, Ataoğlu stated that they will start a feasibility study for the museum area in the Mausoleum.
