Oğuz gave a speech at ECO

Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources Dursun Oğuz attended the Agriculture Ministers Meeting of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) in Bakü, Azerbaijan.

In his speech made at the meeting Minister Oğuz indicated that due to the embargoes the TRNC cannot export agricultural products directly to other countries.

Oğuz said, “Due to the obstructions in direct exports we have transportation problems which decrease our ability to compete with other countries. Moreover, high input costs such as energy, labour and raw materials in the country are among the factors preventing competition.”
