By Richard Beale …….

With  only 2 matches left to play, Yenicamı and Mağusa Türk Gücü continue to “slug” it out at the top with only two points separating them, very similar to the English Premier League.

Both teams won away from home Yenicamı 2-1 at in form Merit Alsancak, with MTG overcoming Lefke 4-1, will any team slip up?

At the bottom L. Gencler Birliği joined already relegated Girne Halk Evi when they lost 3-2 at Gönyeli.

Week 28 K-Pet League 1 Results

Congratulations to “little” Göçmenköy who clinched promotion to the Super League after beating Doğancı 3-1 away. Yet another Club from Lefkoşa joining the elite, adding already to plenty of “derby matches”.

Catalköy team Düzkaya are almost there as well requiring only 1 point from their remaining two fixtures. They face third place Ozanköy on Sunday which should be a “humdinger” of a match, with Ozanköy needing to win this match.

At the bottom Yeniboğazici, who were in the Super League last season could be relegated for the second consecutive season, they are just about hanging on.

Değirmenklik who lost all of their 13 opening matches, found the mountain to hard to climb, despite a brave second half of the season fightback they are relegated to BTM League 1.
