Özersay: “We made an assessment regarding the progress of the process and the possibilities”

CTP Leader and Prime Minister Tufan Erhürman, HP Leader and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Kudret Özersay, TDP Leader and National Education and Culture Minister Cemal Özyiğit, DP Leader and Finance Minister Serdar Denktaş attended the first meeting of the year within the framework of President Akıncı’s regular meetings with the officials of the coalition partner party leaders.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Kudret Özersay stated that they discussed the future of the Cyprus problem and how the UN will act in the future, at the meeting with President Mustafa Akıncı, as the coalition partner party leaders.

Özersay also mentioned that they also discussed the unwillingness of the Greek Cypriot Administration regarding sharing the administration and wealth.

After the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Kudret Özersay made a statement to the press.

Özersay stated that President Akıncı informed them in detail about his meeting with the UN Secretary-General’s temporary envoy Jane Holl Lute and they evaluated how the process was progressing and the possibilities as well.

Stating that, as the government partners, he conveyed his views to President Akıncı, Özersay said that they are trying to determine a policy for the future.

Adding that they have also evaluated the recent developments on the issue of natural gas with the President and shared their opinions, Özersay said that the President also expressed his views on the issue.
