The Near East University recently organised a special session of art activity for children with special needs. The session was composed of  art therapy and Artist Ozan Özgenler drew sea themed pictures accompanied by music and created a fun environment for the children.

According to the information released by the Near East University, as part of the social responsibility project of the Department of Public Relations and Advertising of Faculty of Communication of Near East University, a calendar for the upcoming New-Year has been organised with the students of the Algım Special Education Centre.

Artist Ozan Özgenler stated that it was the first time they had been involved in an activity such as this and that it was very special for them. He added that children with special needs were rather creative and successful.

Academic Member of Faculty of Communication of Near East University Ufuk Altunç, made a statement and expressed that each year, a different institution was selected to organise artwork with the members; later to utilize the artwork created for the making of a calendar for the coming New-Year. Furthermore, he stated that rather than limiting the awareness to a single day, they were aiming to create awareness with persons with disability throughout the year. He ended his words by stating that this year they had chosen to work with the children at the Algım Special Education Centre to create the 2019 calendar.
