The TRNC Assembly’s Law, Political Affairs and Foreign Relations Committee unanimously approved the ‘Election and Referendum (Amendment) Draft Law’ yesterday. The draft law will be discussed at the General Assembly next Monday.
On 3 November 2017, the Committee will also discuss the decision for an early election – which is likely to be held on 7 January 2018 – to examine the first steps that will be taken to initiate the legal procedure.
Foreign Minister Ertuğruloğlu receives delegation of Cyprus Turkish Hoteliers Union
Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu received a delegation from the Cyprus Turkish Hoteliers Union (CTHU) in the TRNC.
During the meeting, Minister Ertuğruloğlu acknowledged the demands and issues faced by CTHU President Fethi Özboğaç and his delegation. In his speech at the meeting, Ertuğruloğlu stated that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is aware of the problems and embargoes imposed on the tourist industry and made it clear that the Ministry is working towards a solution and lifting the current embargoes on the TRNC.
TRNC Kids Fitness National Team success at WFF Fit-Kid Championship
The TRNC Kids Fitness National Team has become a world champion at “WFF Fit-Kid”, the World’s Kids Fitness Championship, which took place on 13-15 October in Serbia.
The Kids Fitness National Team competed on an international platform for the second time this year, going on to win in 11 different categories.
Three participants won prizes for second place, with another participant winning the prize for third place.
