We were sorry to learn of the sad passing of Malcolm Davies who we have known for the past 10 years.
Malcolm came to live in North Cyprus 12 years ago and for the past 7 years he had lived on his own in Çatalköy with the company of his dog, Poppy. We had a routine of visiting him twice a week and would sit and chat, do crosswords and generally put the world to rights. He had a good friend, Mike, who kept an eye on him and gave him a lot of support, as well as Margo and Tony & Carol who all visited to keep him company.
Malcolm would have been 74 years old on the 9th January.
We realised that Poppy was now an orphan and so decided to take her home to join our other 3 dogs, so Malcolm would be pleased that she now has another permanent home.
Malcolm’s daughters, Kerry and Lucy will be travelling to North Cyprus for the funeral which will take place at Greenhill Cemetery on Friday 13th January at 11am. The funeral service will be followed by a celebration of Malcolm’s life at the SeAngle Bar in Çatalköy.
Rest in peace Malcolm. We had some good times working together at Bay House School and as neighbours. Love Reg and Sandra Pay
