THE PANTOMIME IS NOW CANCELLED.

We apologise for the lateness of this notification but cyprusscene has only just been informed of the cancellation by RBL Theatre Players.

By Margaret Sheard….

Although we are in the throes of summer, the RBL Theatre Players have been rehearsing through the year for the traditional pantomime which this year is Robin Hood, and is directed by Jan Marsh.  We have received an update from Major Brian Thomas, Chairman of RBL Kyrenia Branch and now give this information for the benefit of our readers.

The pantomime will be at the English School of Kyrenia theatre 17th to 19th November.  On the 17th November there will be a matinee at 10.30am and evening performance at 7.30pm and on the 18th and 19th November there will be evening performances at 7.30pm.

Please note that as the pantomime is being performed at the English School of Kyrenia (off the main road to Bellapais), no alcohol will be permitted on the campus. However the Bellapais Gardens Hotel (just up the road) will be offering a set pre-theatre meal (3 choices of starter, main and dessert) option between 5.30pm – 7pm prior to the 3 evening performances.  The menu and booking details will be advised later.

Tickets will be 35TL for adults and 20TL for children and advance bookings can be made by telephoning 0533 866 7563 or you can email pantomime.rbl@gmail.com to make a reservation.  Tickets will be available from late September at the RBL stall, Lambousa Saturday Market, where they can be paid for and collected.  All money raised will go to this year’s Poppy Appeal.

The RBL pantomimes are always very popular so don’t delay in making a reservation.
