On Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th October 2016, Doğanköy (Thermeia) is holding their annual Alıç (hawthorn) festival.
The Doğanköy Community Association have always supported events in our delightful village. We have been raising money over the years at our various coffee mornings etc for a variety of causes. Once the Girne Belediye had completed our new pavements etc, there was a little tidying needed. Paula Shirley managed to get the correct advice and our funds covered pebbling over the small area. The Girne Belediye also put astro-turf in another area.

Starting with our Coffee Morning starting at 11.00 on Saturday 29th October..
The coffee morning will be at the Doğanköy Coffee shop, along with a selection of cakes, including doughnuts, available eat-in or take-away.
Spend time wandering around the stalls, displayed behind our Muhtar’s office. They offer many items produced from our local delicacy, namely the Hawthorn aka Alıç, including juices and jams etc.
