David Miller and the Ozanköy Challenge

This weekend on The Main Event I am joined by David Miller who comes to talk to us about the The World Barrow Rally Championships to be held in Ozanköy on Sunday 4th October starting at 1pm. This is a wheelbarrow rally with decorated 
wheelbarrows going around Ozanköy in a timed rally much like a car rally.
David told us that this started off, as most ideas do, in the pub over a beer or two, he was trying to find an idea that had not been done before that would be fun to do and raise funds for a charity.
It was decided not to have a race or to carry people in a barrow which could lead to accidents, so the idea of bricks being put in the barrows as fines along the way came about.
To add to the fun everyone is expected to be a policeman and silly rules will apply i.e left handed drinking at all times etc etc, and spectators are asked to bring water guns to wet down the teams as they make their way around the streets..
