With the holidays approaching Mağusa Kale Lions Club and Mağusa Mesarya Lions Club wanted to treat the elderly living at Meros Retirement Home with a day of pampering.
We were welcomed by all with smiles when we arrived. Chatting away with each of our elders we offered fruit that we had brought along while we presented each of them with a gift. The Lions made themselves feel at home interacting with each of our elders, with haircuts and hair dye which was sponsored by Levent Hairdressers and brought much delight to the ladies.
A regular activity of the Lions Clubs is not only to bring joy to our elders but also to encourage all those around us that it is important to remember, respect and make an effort to visit a Retirement Home as not all living there have family to visit them. Our motto ‘We Serve’ will continue with this activity as we have done in the past.
Where there is a need, there is a Lion.
