“Tulips Chilly Dippers” dipped more than their toes at the Fly Inn!
Unanimous vote at the Fly Inn on the morning of 31st December 2016, was that the sea was much, much colder, but a lot calmer this year compared to last year, when ten hardy swimmers braved the cold waters, all with the aim of raising money for Tulips!

was there to lend words of both support and thanks as all the swimmers got out of the water feeling frozen to their bones, but all with a sense of achievement at having stayed in the water for a full TEN minutes.
We would like to first thank Jackie Pennington,
who, once again, organised this event; to the swimmers who “willingly” swam in the cold Mediterranean for Tulips (Jackie Pennington, Kay Thomas, Susan Hargreaves, Steve Owen, David Foulke, Steve Foster, Un Bitlis, Roger Miles, Auriana Stevens, Tig MacKenzie);
Un Bitlis and the Fly Inn
for providing the soup and facilities for the swimmers and their supporters;
Jenny Brown
for providing the mulled wine
As a belated addition this photo was received on 2nd January 2017 – We would like to thank Roger!
Finally to all the supporters and sponsors who willingly parted with their money for this Tulips event!
