Raising money for TULIPS (Help Those with Cancer)

A second-hand jewellery sale will take place on Saturday, 4^th April between 10.30 and 2.30 at Cafe George in Kyrenia.

The sale is yet another event leading up to the EFRAR 2015 which takes place on Sunday, 5^th April at Magic Bar near Esentepe.

The jewellery, which has all been donated by people here in North Cyprus or donated in the UK and brought over, will be run by Sue Steel and will include watches, rings, bracelets, bangles, earrings and necklaces.

Mrs Steel said: “I had a lot of costume jewellery myself which I was not wearing so I had the idea to sell it for Help Those With Cancer Association (Tulips) but then I took it a stage further and put a request out on Facebook and also emailed all my friends and family for more jewellery and the response has been overwhelming. I can probably hold more than one sale with the amount I have and I would like to personally thank all those who took the time to donate.”

She explained: “I took all the watches to a shop in Kyrenia to have new batteries put in and the owner told me I had two antique watches, one of which is a Rotary, and these will be on offer for 100TL each but the rest of the jewellery will be more modestly priced. I hope I can raise a lot for the Association.”
