It is extremely unfortunate that the European Union Commission Vice-President and High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, made the statements on “Cyprus” after the EU Foreign Affairs Council Meeting on 12th July 2021.
Prime Minister Ersan Saner said that as long as the European Union continues to act unfairly towards the Turkish Cypriot people it will never contribute towards the solution process on the island.

Following his meeting with the EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell in the capital Ankara, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu stated that Turkey will support the EU’s mediation on energy resources in the Eastern Mediterranean as long as it is an honest broker.
