On Saturday May 19th a host of famous World Football Stars will play a friendly match at the Atatürk Stadium, Lefkoşa (ko 21.45 pm)
Confirmed football stars that will be playing are :
KANU ( Arsenal, WBA, Portsmouth)
MICHAEL ESSIEN ( Chelsea)
YAKUBA ( Reading, Portsmouth, Everton, Middlesborough)
LUA LUA (Colchester, Newcastle, Portsmouth)
TUGAY (Blackburn Rovers)
ALEX SONG (Arsenal, Barcelona, West Ham)
There will also be some other stars not yet confirmed.
This is a major coup for the TRNC to stage the match, which will be in aid of the Kanu and Lua Lua Charities. To have these famous stars play here is a fantastic opportunity for us to watch these footballers. Yes most have retired or past their sell by date, but they are household names in the football world.
Tickets are 40tl and can be purchased in advance of the match at all Deniz Plaza outlets, Birinci Turizm, Konya Mutfağı both ın Lefkoşa
With the Ataturk Stadium having a capacity of 20,000 I would imagine you can buy tickets at the Ground on the night, but better to be safe than sorry and try to buy them before.
