UN Special Envoy to Cyprus Jane Holl Lute is continuing shuttle diplomacy towards completing the terms of reference.
Lute who met with President Mustafa Akıncı and Greek Cypriot Leader Nikos Anastasiades for the third time yesterday (3 September, 2019) will again meet with both leaders today.
Presidential Spokesperson Barış Burcu attended the meeting which lasted about one and half hours and made a written statement following the meeting.
In his written statement, Burcu noted “President Mustafa Akıncı held a meeting with the UN Special Envoy to Cyprus Jane Holl Lute who is continuing her contacts to complete the terms of reference. Within the framework of the continuing discussions, President Akıncı will meet again with Lute today.”
