Everyone these days has a camera to hand on their phones. It is easy to take a picture that can mean so many words. We would like you to take that special photo of dogs/puppies or cats/kittens on the streets of North Cyprus. You will not only be judged on the quality of the photograph but also what the subject depicts.

As well as winning a lovely prize the winning photograph in each category will be used as part of the 2020 Calendar.

The theme for the competition is ‘Life on North Cyprus Streets’, it is up to you how you interpret it. As long as your photographs capture the essence of ‘Life on North Cyprus Streets’ then you are in with a chance.

This competition is not a fundraising event it is to raise awareness of the life of the dogs and cats that live in love and harmony side by side with the local community on the streets of the TRNC.

There are many dogs and cats to photograph so get your phones out now.

We certainly Played Our cards Right

This is Eser and Eileen.

They have been walking, grooming and helping socialising dogs. They came every day for 4 days.

They came from Washington D.C.and flew from Washington to Copenhagen then to Zurich on to Athens and then to Larnaca and then here.

The very next day after they arrived they came to the Centre and donated 6 large bags dog biscuits, treats and toys. Thanks guys!! That’s vacation dedication. KAR Heroes!!

The KAR Rescue Centre is still in need of ‘softies’

Any old bedding, towels, bath mats, any items that can be used for the puppy beds.

Please, if you are on the west side of the island, you can drop off your items at Veni Vici on the Lapta Strip.

All items donated as softies go straight to the centre. (East side donations to the office in Karakum)… thank you!!!!

Thank you to The Lodge Catalkoy card bingo players

For their ongoing support.

Every month they donate some of the proceeds of the Card Bingo to KAR. It is appreciated.
