Ahead of departing for Japan to attend the G20 Leaders’ Summit, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated at Esenboğa Airport that Turkey is a guarantor country of Cyprus and in case of an attack on North Cyprus Turkey will use her rights as a guarantor.
The Turkish President also added that Greece and the UK, as the other two guarantor countries, have the right to speak regarding Cyprus, however, other countries must have nothing to say about Cyprus and said “everyone who lives on the island of Cyprus has equal rights from the benefits of the seas.”
